A Life Remembered

Obituary

Sharon Zaremba, a beloved matriarch with a heart full of warmth and an unwavering spirit, passed away on October 26, 2026, in the comforting presence of her cherished family. Born on July 10, 1943, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, Sharon was the daughter of the late Pastor Henry Boubelik and Mabel Boubelik. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Hank, whose memory she treasured throughout her life.

Sharon's journey was one enriched by love and connection. She leaves behind a devoted family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter Billie and her husband, Dan; her daughter Kelly; and her daughter Kim and her husband, John; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers, Jim and Tim; as well as four nephews and six nieces. Each of these family members held a special place in her heart, and she was the thread that wove them all together.

A woman of remarkable qualities, Sharon had a unique ability to make everyone she encountered feel important and appreciated. Her sharp mind and keen insight allowed her to find beauty in the smallest of things, reminding those around her to appreciate life's simple pleasures. Her favorite pastime was sending adorable gifs and texts to her family each day, a small but significant way she ensured everyone felt her love and attention. Sharon's love of reality television was one of the many things that kept her young at heart. She looked forward to each new episode with excitement and was known for seeking out spoiler alerts because she could hardly wait to find out what would happen next. Sharon found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether it was keeping up with her favorite reality shows, sending thoughtful messages to loved ones, talking on the phone, or savoring a piece of chocolate. Her enthusiasm for life's everyday moments brought joy to both Sharon and those around her.

Sharon's family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center team for the exceptional care and treatment they provided throughout her cancer journey, as well as to the Banner Gateway Medical Center team for their outstanding support and compassion during her final days. Their dedication, expertise, and kindness brought comfort to Sharon and her family during a difficult time, for which they are forever grateful.

As we reflect on Sharon's life, we celebrate a woman who fought valiantly and loved fiercely, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, strength, and devotion to family will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends for generations to come. Messages of Love

From family and friends

Paul Zaremba November 2, 2026
Sharon, you are a blessing and will be sorely missed. You have been an anchor to so many, your loss will leave a tremendous gap in so many lives! I look forward to seeing you again with Jesus. You were my protector as a child, and a blessing to our family. Thank you for all of the love and kindness you've shown to me throughout the years, your e-cards were especially precious to receive. I especially enjoyed our conversations throughout the decades. My father and mother loved you very much too. It is with great sadness to hear of your passing, it hurts my heart, but I'm joyful that you are now with Jesus and experiencing health and glory. Love, Paul Paul Zaremba

Sharon will be greatly missed by family and friends. Her heart was full of love and affection for her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she smothered with hugs and kisses. May happy memories bring comfort until you once again embrace in an eternal bond of love in the heavens above.
